Who We Are
Ownership: Team Yoga is owned and operated by Gordon Kaplan. Here is his background:
A certified Purna Yoga™ teacher at the 2,000-hour level, he is a graduate of the College of Purna Yoga under the direction of world-renown teacher Aadil Palkhivala. This training is one of the most rigorous programs in North America and is vocationally certified by Washington State. He is accredited by Yoga Alliance (RYT-500) and the International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Continuing his training with Palkhivala, he assisted with workshop presentations at the Yoga Journal Conference, Omega Conference, and in Tel Aviv, Israel. A boot camp Power Vinyasa teacher training with Baron Baptiste was completed in 2001.
A successful collegiate coaching career, led to spending a year at Indiana University observing the basketball coaching methods of Bob Knight. In that time he completed a graduate level coaching course with Norm Ellenberger and earned a Master's Degree in kinesiology.
The NBA's Orlando Magic had Gordon's services during the 1998-1999 season. In that time he assisted the Director of Video Scouting for the Magic during the tenure of Coach Chuck Daly. He worked alongside coaches Eric Musselman, Tom Sterner, and Tree Rollins.
Included in his extensive basketball coaching resume, he coached in the NCAA Tournament and served as a regional clinician for Converse and Sportamerica.

Team Yoga was formed conceptually in 1997 and its mission continues to be empowering clients to lead balanced, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
